Sing and Learn Series: These classes all enhance the pre-schoolers learning, gross and fine motor skills and engage them in arts, crafts, and great age appropriate music.
Language Skills: Language development is one of the most important goals of childhood. The activities in this class are designed to provide opportunities for children to become familiar with the relationship between words and meaning. The children will sing their way into learning the days of the week, colors, concepts such as far and near, over and under, and inside and outside. They will learn skills such as classification and sequencing. Every child needs this class. Quiet Moment: For those times in the day when children need to quiet down. The songs will reinforce the children's basic skills such as counting, sequencing, and listening. The art and activities will help to teach why quiet times are important. Imagination Station: This is our class on make-believe. Your children are encouraged to imagine - to think about things that live only in dreams. The activities will provide ideas to stretch the child's imagination as they work on important language, motor, and thinking skills. Ants in My Pants: No sitting still in this class! Your children will move around, try many interesting movements while pretending to be different animals and other fascinating things. In this process, they will develop important coordination skills. Your children will learn about the different animals, and at the same time develop their large motor skills. I Can Pick Up a Pin: These fun activities will help your child develop fine motor skills. These skills are for cutting, coloring, and ultimately, writing. They will develop their muscles and achieve greater dexterity. Lots of fingerpainting, cutting, coloring, finger play and music. Young and Fit: It is never too early to introduce children to the idea of fitness. Your child will love the jumping, jogging, stretching, and racing involved in this class.The songs in this unit are sure to be a hit.they will learn the importance of aerobic exercise, followed by a "cooling down" period, Most importantly, the activities will develop agility, improve coordination skills, and a great positive attitude. Soaring Into Reading? Our reading readiness activities will introduce and reinforce your child's alphabet skills. Your child will come out of this class ready to take on reading. Number Sense: Counting and learning about numbers can be done in a positive and fun-filled way. Your child will be introduced to concepts like counting to ten, adding one more, taking one away, more-or-less, pairs, and counting by twos. The students will engage in dramatic plays, art, games, and projects, all designed to promote your child's number sense. My Feelings, Your Feelings?: This class introduces children to the concept of feelings in a non-threatening way. The issues that are explored include sibling rivalry, feeling scare, and feeling happy. Children will be better helped to cope with their own feelings and become more aware of other people's feelings. It's Big, It's Round, and It's Yours and Mine: This is our unit that introduces the children to the Earth. The songs in this class will awaken the children's interest in the world around them and in the immense cultural variety among earth's people. The child becomes aware that there is air everywhere, and sings about the concept of day and night, bodies of water, the shape of the earth, litter, and other topics. Your child will develop an awreness of the need to take care of the earth. Health Makes Wealth: Your child will recognize the simple habits that keep us healthy. Topics covered will include why they need to cover their mouths when they sneeze, why they need to wash their hands often, and other important lessons about hygiene, exercise and nutrition.
